Description

UPSPack V3 Plus (V3P) is an upgraded standard UPS expansion board. It fits every Raspberry Pi model perfectly.

You can use this uninterruptible power supply HAT for many projects. Common uses include unattended SBC devices, smart home systems, video cameras and light industrial control hardware.

The old V3 model lacks one key feature. The new V3P adds a dedicated PH2.0 4P EXT BTN port.

This port works with external self-locking switches with built-in LEDs. It gives makers and industrial engineers more flexible hardware control options.

The Raspberry Pi UPSPack V3P outputs stable 5V 3A power at peak load. It runs Pi mainboards, camera modules, display panels and extra USB peripherals smoothly.

Most daily setups need zero pin header soldering. Just plug two cables into the board. Connect one Type-C cord for input power, and one USB-A cord for output. The unit switches backup power instantly without extra steps.

Unplug your external Type-C power adapter? The onboard lithium battery takes power supply right away.

Your Raspberry Pi will never reboot during this switch. This design stops file damage and sudden system shutdowns.

You only solder 2P or 3P pin headers in two cases. The first case is direct GPIO power supply. The second case is UART serial communication for custom software development.

Test all core UPS functions fully before soldering any headers. This simple step stops permanent damage to your circuit board.

Core Upgrade: V3P vs Original V3 Version

  1. We add a brand-new PH2.0 4P EXT BTN interface with LED lights. The older V3 model does not support external self-locking switches at all.
  2. We fully upgrade the STA single-bus communication system. It switches from pulse mode to level mode. This sends low-battery shutdown signals far more reliably.
  3. We update the onboard UART communication protocol to V3.2. It works with all old V3 UPS communication rules without extra adjustments.
  4. Our engineers tune the power-off sleep logic. This tweak extends total lithium battery standby time between full charges.

Physical Specs & Exact Dimensions

The UPS mainboard has fixed measurements: 86.02mm long, 56.02mm wide and 10mm tall.

We measure height from the tallest raised electronic parts. This number does not include external lithium battery thickness.

This board accepts 1S 3.7V lithium polymer cells. It also supports 18650, 21700 and 21650 lithium battery packs.

4.2V is the safe maximum charging voltage. Do not use lithium iron phosphate batteries with this hardware.

We offer three matched lithium battery choices. All batteries come with built-in overcharge and discharge protection boards.
  • 4000mAh: 70×41×9.5mm. This smallest battery fits fully inside the UPS board’s outline.
  • 6500mAh: 116×50×8mm. This mid-size pack delivers longer running hours.
  • 10000mAh: 115×65×9mm. This max-capacity battery powers all-day unattended work.

⚠️ Important Note: Only the 4000mAh battery is smaller than the UPS mainboard. Both 6500mAh and 10000mAh packs have larger outer sizes.

Do-it-yourself battery packs only allow parallel wiring for all cells. We suggest a protection board rated at 6A or higher continuous current for safe use.
